Mindfulness in depth
Mindfulness is about being present in life with greater awareness, curiosity and acceptance. By training our attention, we can develop a more conscious relationship with our thoughts, feelings and bodily experiences. This enables us to meet everyday challenges with greater calm, clarity and flexibility.
In this training, you will gain both a deeper understanding of mindfulness and practical tools to guide others through mindfulness-based exercises and meditations.
The training brings together modern research on the brain, stress and emotional regulation with practical meditation, reflection and personal development. Great emphasis is placed on personal experience: not only understanding mindfulness intellectually, but integrating an aware and present approach into everyday life.
Training inspired by MBSR and MSC
This is an independent training programme inspired by two internationally established mindfulness programmes:
- Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) – developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, focusing on mindfulness, stress management and the ability to meet life's challenges with greater balance.
- Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) – developed by Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer, focusing on self-compassion, emotional resilience and treating yourself with kindness even in difficult situations.
Together, these perspectives provide a foundation for developing both mindfulness and a more compassionate approach to yourself and others. From MBSR, we take the structure: a clear sequence of exercises practised step by step and brought into everyday life. From MSC, we take the tone: practising with kindness and patience rather than striving to achieve.
What will you learn?
During the training, you will explore and practise:
- The fundamental principles of mindfulness and its scientific basis.
- How mindfulness affects the brain, stress response system and our ability to regulate emotions.
- Different forms of meditation, including breath meditation, body scanning and mindful movement.
- How we can relate to thoughts, feelings and habitual patterns of reaction.
- Self-compassion as a tool for managing self-criticism, stress and difficult emotions.
- How mindfulness can be integrated into everyday life and foster greater awareness in relationships and communication.
- How to plan, lead and adapt mindfulness exercises for individuals and groups.
- The teacher's role, approach and responsibilities.
Who is this training for?
This training is for anyone who wants to deepen their personal mindfulness practice or use mindfulness in their work with others.
It may suit people working in health, coaching, yoga, education, leadership or other people-focused fields. You are also welcome if you are primarily looking for personal development and a deeper understanding of mindfulness.
From personal practice to guiding others
Teaching mindfulness is not just about being able to lead meditations. It also involves developing a personal grounding in mindfulness and the ability to create a safe, welcoming environment for others.
That is why theory and research are combined with experiential exercises, personal meditation, reflection and practical training in guiding others. If you plan to teach, you will first experience both aspects for yourself and practise bringing them together in a format others can follow.
The aim is for you to feel more confident leading mindfulness-based exercises after the training and to be able to apply what you have learned both in your professional life and in your everyday life.
"This mindfulness facilitator training has been incredibly instructive and very thoughtfully structured. The course has also made my everyday practice more consistent and joyful."
An investment in yourself and others
Mindfulness is not a way to switch off your thoughts or always feel calm. It is a practice of meeting life as it is, with greater presence, awareness and care.
By developing these qualities in yourself, you will also build a stronger foundation for inspiring and guiding others.
Welcome to a training programme that brings together science, personal experience and practical application.
